BMW Motorrad
We fell head over heels when we first laid eyes on the CE02 at the BMW Days in Berlin. It was love at first sight! We also got a peek into BMW-Motorrad's marketing strategy, which was super cool. We just knew it was meant to be! At Vagabund, we are always looking for ways to push boundaries and give products our own unique twist.

Within this project we would describe our general design approach as "retrofuture." We tried to combine the very futuristic original design with some retro vibes to give the viewer a familiar feeling. We think this will really appeal to people!
We love music, and we know lots of other people in this young, creative, environmentally conscious target group feel the same way! That is probably why we drew most of our inspiration from here (Retro Audio, #DieterRams). We were really excited to be able to integrate the amazing OB-4 Magic Radio from Teenage Engineering, which really helped us to emphasize this philosophy. The “electric exhaust”, which serves as an umbrella drawer, is another such practical style element.
This project was a huge challenge and an amazing opportunity all at once! BMW- Motorrad was so supportive and gave us the freedom to really make this project our own. They allowed creative freedom on everything, from the design and construction, to the final content marketing and the overall project philosophy.
From the very beginning, we managed everything from A to Z in-house and/or produced via partner companies.
Of course, this great project also needs an appropriate stage. We thought it would be best to design it directly as an additional product, so we would not leave the local staging to chance. With our specially developed and designed packaging, which can be dismantled and transported, you always have the stage with you and will certainly not be overlooked. The additional integration of lighting elements allows the product to shine even without daylight.
